It was over to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium for the Evo-Stik Premier Division game V Witton Albion and a very enjoyable evening it was , got to the ground early for the usual stadium photos , golden goal bought along with an exceptional programme a coffee as always and a Club Badge ( happy happy happy) . Not been to this ground for many years and have to say what a great job they have done with improvements all over the ground, well done. The game started pretty slowly with both teams not doing a great deal until Witton took a deserved lead , Ramsbottom finally got their game together and went in at half time 1-1. Not sure of the guys name but they have an exceptional player with skills well above this level (will they manage to keep hold of him) not sure about that anyway on to the 2nd half which Witton took by the scruff of the neck having a penalty saved and also taking the lead again , i never expected Ramsbottom to come back into this one but with some great football and sheer determination they scored 2 goals in the last 10 mins to go on to win. Altogether a great night , ground is beautiful , facilities are excellent , well done.

4th visit to my home club this season and a powerful display from Salford , from start to finish Salford produced and excellent display of passing , control and finishing which given the class of player now plying their trade at Moor Lane its only what you would expect especially against a side like Ossett ,Ossett had their moments and did produce some good football but you can see the difference and that is no dis-respect just an honest view . Salford could of took the lead in the first 10 seconds with Seddon hitting the crossbar, eventually Salford did take the lead from one of the best goals i've seen this season , by half time it was 2-0. Second half continued as the first with Salford pressing the Ossett defence and scoring 2 more goals the 2nd half , allround great performance from Salford...the Red Moon is rising... Nothing new to report on the ground developments , programme is well worth the £1.50   .club badges should be arriving soon (so i'm told) the club shop as a good stock of programmes and merchandise so a visit for any hopper is well worth it.

A Trip to the newly named JD Stadium ( Gigg Lane Bury) for this U18s friendly to watch England v Holland , now as we know its not very interesting watching England but the chance of a ground not visited recently enticed me over there , some improvements made since last here (10 yrs) making the ground look pretty good . The game itself was a torrid affair in the 1st half with only a goal to make it interesting and for England as well ... well if you follow England you will know what i mean. The 2nd half was much better with both teams playing some good football with England the much better team coming out 3-1 winners . Programme was a double issue with the game between England U20s v Romania and full of information , a note on refreshments..my god prices were stupidly expensive and i for one will not pay £3 plus for a Pukka Pie....anyway apart from that enjoyed the evening , some good football and a England team actually won.......INGERLAND INGERLAND ...IN - GER -LAND.

10 GOAL THRILLER !!!!!! 3rd visit this season to Salford City (my home town club) you'll see regular reports and pictures from Salford as i do support them anyway , what can i say about this game...after a goaless draw on saturday with both goalkeepers coming out on top we were entertained with this goalfest and a very good game of football . Salford went ahead and were pretty much on top throughout the 1st half with nothing to suggest there was going to be a avalanche of goals 2nd half . Salford were pretty much down and out after 71 minutes going 1-3 down with some excellent play from the Congleton team , that obviously spurred Salford on and by full time it was all square at 3-3. Really didnt want extra time as work beckoned early , but half way through the gate i decided to stay the course and unexpectedly was treated to another 4 goals . Salford were in complete control in extra time with the game finishing 6-4 so on to the next round against Nantwich . So fantastic evening of football, Salford's ground continues to be upgraded with the extended club house and new cafe being built , you'll see scaffolding dotted about the ground as the cities university is filming all through the 2014/15 season for a 3-part documentary to be shown on national TV later in the year...quick mention to Groundhog who came from the Stoke area for the game , good to meet you and see you soon.
